Paddle Boarding (Now Available!)
The fast-growing sport of stand up paddle boarding is a fun, easy way to get in shape or just enjoy the feeling of walking on water. Lake Shelby offers the ideal paddle boarding landscape, with clear, calm waters and warm weather for most of the year.
Paddle boarding provides an amazing full body workout and is becoming a favorite cross-training activity for athletes of all skill levels and across many different disciplines. But paddle boarding isn’t just about exercise—it’s also a lot of fun! Standing at your full height, you'll have an excellent vantage point to enjoy breathtaking views of the clear, reflective water and the sugar-white sand.

Gulf State Park
Gulf Adventure Center is located within Gulf State Park on beautiful Lake Shelby, which boasts spectacular views, swimming and covered picnic areas. Sandwiched between the calm fresh waters of the lake and the foamy waves and white sands of the beach, Gulf Adventure Center offers the perfect location for outdoor adventure.
Located between Gulf Shores and Orange Beach on the coast of Alabama, Gulf State Park is known for its white, sun-kissed beaches, a surging surf, seagulls, seashells and more. Consisting of 6,150 acres with two miles of sugar-white sand beaches, Gulf State Park features a number of attractions that will appeal to young and old alike.
